We just met with immunology since everything originally started with a low T cell count and possibility of an autoimmune disease (TREC). The immunologist gave us all of Izzy’s lab results and what it comes down to is that she has something called lymphopenia, a very small amount of T cells, HOWEVER, they are very functional. He described it as a small army, but full of power. And as she grows, her immune system should get even stronger! He expressed to us that Izzy is okay and to follow up in 6 months.

Immunology rules: no live vaccines until she is at least 1 year old and be cautious in large groups of people or large settings

Our rule: masks required around her just to be extra safe

Oh… and one more thing…

WE’RE GOING HOME TOMORROW!!!

And I’m getting cafeteria ice cream to celebrate 🙌🏼🍦
