18 DAY HOSPITAL STAY

While Izzy was hospitalized at Akron Children’s, I kept a running notes tab on my phone with daily updates – what the plan was for the day, who we were seeing, what procedures were happening, times for meds & feeds, & so on. While the doctors did their morning rounds, I would jot down everything they were saying, I would ask my questions from the previous 24 hours, & I would make sure our requests were heard. I turned all of my shorthand notes into long messages & explanations to share with close family and friends. Now I’d like to share it all with you.
